Frequently Asked Questions about reprints:

Can we leverage this document as a reprint? What is the price for the reprinting this document?

The Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customer’ document is able to be licensed as part of the Gartner reprint program to support your sales enablement, lead generation, and content marketing strategies. This Peer Insights research document reprint follows the same policies and pricing guidelines as any other research note reprints (e.g., MQ, critical capabilities). Existing Reprints clients may use an existing document “slot” for Peer Insights content. Please contact your account executive for more details.

The document provides valuable synthesized insights from our reviews that complement the analyst perspective in a format your clients could easily share with their investment committees.

If I can get this information from the free Peer Insights site, why should I buy the reprint?

We developed the PI research note as we heard consistently from end-users that they need a better shortlisting tool in a format they could easily share with their investment committees. The research note synthesizes the key insights from all the information available on the site using our proprietary methodology.

Although the data is available on site, the images that synthesize the information is not available. For example, the User Interest and Adoption axis in the main quadrant (Figure 1) is only available through this document.

It includes only a smaller set of eligible vendors, and shows their ratings over a fixed period of time (last 18 months) vs. the PI site which is continuously changing as reviews come in.

Many vendors who license the reprint of this report, often use it for lead generation. You cannot do that with Peer Insights site.

Purchasing a reprints license gives you access to a dedicated program manager who will handle all of the legwork for quote request approvals and help you to track the reprint impact

Frequently Asked Questions about Gartner Research:

Do Gartner’s Research provide any input into the review survey questions for markets?

Gartner Peer Insights is a service by and for the technology community. Gartner Research Analysts help to develop the baseline surveys to ensure a structured and consistent approach to the reviews across markets. Beyond that, Gartner merely provides the platform by which technology buyers may share their insights and experiences.

Will Gartner’s Research Analysts use Peer Insights in their research?

Gartner Peer Insights reviews are a new key source of information, to be considered along with a variety of other factors, by Gartner Analysts. Analysts conduct in-depth primary and secondary research as the underpinning of the research process. They also draw from a vast network of sources, including interactions with end-user clients, technology providers, and industry leaders, in formats ranging from client inquiries, 1:1 meetings at events and a variety of other client interactions. Analysts may also incorporate content from academic, journalistic and scientific sources. While end-user feedback is important, it is one of many criteria that are considered. Although at this time, individual quotes from Gartner Peer Insights are not used in published research, presentations or other client interactions, this will likely change in the future.

How involved is Research in PI, from a methodology and ongoing point of view?

Gartner Peer Insights was developed to be a key data source feeding Gartner analyst-driven research as well as a source for peer-driven research synthesis. Gartner Research is fully integrated into the development of methodologies used on the site and is helping to drive the evolution of these methodologies.

How do you explain when Peer Insights reviews completely contradict analyst reviews? If that happens are analysts instructed to consider Peer Insights content?

Gartner Peer Insights is a reviews and rating platform for technology end-users to share their experiences and, like all review platforms, is inherently backward-looking. Gartner analyst opinions, while informed by past experiences, are inherently forward-looking and take into account a broader range of factors than solely customer feedback. These two views complement each other to help Gartner clients make better decisions.
