We understand that company names can change for various reasons, such as branding updates, mergers, or acquisitions. Once your team has publicly announced the new company name, you can submit a request to update your company name on GPI. Please only submit the request once the materials are live on your website as the GPI team will utilize this for verification.
Keep in mind:
Only administrative users can submit this request – if you need your access adjusted please email us at peerinsightsvendorsuccess@gartner.com for direct support.
To submit the company name change request, please:
Login to the GPI Vendor Portal and navigate to the Manage Products section.
Select “Other Requests”
Select “Company Update”
Provide the requested information – please keep in mind that you must provide publicly available resources.
Our team will review your request and validate it against publicly available resources. You will receive an email update and can view the status of the request via the Vendor Request Tracker.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I edit my Company Description?
After your company name change request is approved on GPI, you can then adjust your company description here.
How do I Edit my Company Logo?
After the company name is officially changed on GPI, you can then submit your new logo here.
Will the new company name be reflected across Gartner Peer Insights and existing reviews?
After your company name change request is approved, the new name will appear everywhere your company is listed on Gartner Peer Insights (GPI). However, if any previously submitted reviews mention your old company name in the review text, those mentions will not be updated. Only the company name as displayed on GPI will change; the content of past reviews will remain as originally written.
Will the new company name be reflected across Review Snippets?
After your company name change is approved, the new name will appear in all newly created review snippets. However, any existing review snippets that mention your old company name will not be updated. Only snippets generated after the name change will use your new company name; older snippets will remain unchanged.
Why was my company name request not approved?
If your request to change your company name was not approved, it’s likely because the GPI team could not confirm your new name using publicly available information. The GPI team requires that your new company name is already live and visible on public sources, such as your official website, before approving the request.
