Important Update: Changes to INR Gift Card Redemption March 2025

Effective March 3, 2025, we have paused INR as a redemption option for gift cards.

Updated in the last 15 minutes

Effective March 3, 2025, we have paused INR as a redemption option for gift cards. During our regular auditing activities at Gartner Peer Insights, we observed an unusually high number of gift card redemptions in India during February 2025. Unfortunately, legitimate reviewers were coordinating efforts to collect gift cards by targeting incentivized links found publicly. When we identify patterns like these, we take action and use the information to enhance our processes.

To restrict the improper use of incentives, we have temporarily removed the INR gift card redemption option for both Gartner-sourced and vendor-sourced reviews. However, we will continue to accept non-incentivized reviews from India. All other redemption options remain available to reviewers. We have completed all actions related to our audit findings at this time.

We are committed to helping you protect your investment in review sourcing, but we need your assistance. Ultimately, your organization is responsible for managing review sourcing links. We recommend the following actions:

  • Actively manage your links, including expiring them when they are no longer in use.

  • Create new review sourcing links for each unique campaign effort.

  • Avoid creating a single 'master link' for multiple use cases.

  • Do not post incentivized links publicly.

Please be aware that there will be upcoming changes to the vendor review sourcing link functionality to help prevent scenarios like this in the future. We will provide more details soon and update all vendors accordingly when these changes go live.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
