During the Gartner Peer Insights Technology Provider Webinar in January 2025, we announced an update to the Voice of the Customer (VOC) Methodology. This note is to inform you that we misstated the effective date. Please note that the upcoming changes to the VOC Methodology will be applied to reports with an anticipated publish date of June 2025 and beyond.

What is the methodology change?

The new Voice of the Customer methodology will incorporate vendor consideration frequency into the User Interest & Adoption score and adjusted weightings for industry, company size, and region. Please visit the January 2025 Webinar resources here for more information.

Which reports will this new methodology update apply to?

Reports publishing in June 2025 and later will use the updated methodology. Reports publishing in May 2025 and earlier will adhere to the current methodology. You can download the VOC Publication Calendar here to determine when your market is tentatively scheduled for publication.

My VOC report has a tentative publish date of April 2025. What methodology will be used?

Reports with a review sourcing deadline of February 28, 2025, and an anticipated publish date of April 2025 will follow the current VOC Methodology.

When will I be able to access the full methodology?

The updated Voice of the Customer Methodology will be available starting March 1, 2025.
